Resources

  • We make every effort to meet at facilities that comply with ADA guidelines, balanced with the need to coordinate adequate meeting space and lodging.
  • Accommodations (including interpreters, assistive listening devices and materials in alternate formats) are available upon request.
  • We request two weeks notice to insure accommodations, however we will do our best to arrange accommodations with 48-hour notice.

The SRC welcomes ad-hoc committee participation.

  • Review the Committee Structure Document (pdf)​ to decide which committees you are interested in.
  • Contact the SRC Coordinator​ to find out about the next meeting.
  • You may attend as a guest and decide if you would like to formally request membership to the committee. At that point, the SRC Chair will have a meeting with you for an interview before appointing you to the committee as an ad-hoc member.

Diversity, equity, inclusion and access awards

The SRC recognizes the hard work community partners and employers do to help VR consumers achieve employment. Awards for this partnership are given at the quarterly meetings.

W​hat w​e look for

We are looking for any business that provides opportunities to support and partner with VR, Tribal VR, Youth Transition Programs and other programs that help people with disabilities find and maintain integrated, competitive employment. Here are some ways in which they can demonstrate this commitment:

  • Provided noteworthy rehabilitation and employment services resulting in quality, lasting job placements for VR consumers over the course of the last year.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of VR by participating in activities that are above and beyond what is normally provided.
  • Created or customized jobs for individuals with significant barriers to employment. 
  • Hired multiple VR consumers in the last year or gone the extra mile to create a customized job for someone with a significant disability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion through a number of activities with VR and their consumers such as providing job shadows, work assessments, mock interviews, hiring and significantly accommodating individuals with disabilities so that they can perform their jobs. 
  • Employers who are initiating contact with VR employment partners looking for employees.
